3rd Advanced Acting Academy

The premier professional-level theatre training for youth ages 14 - 19 on the Peninsula returns for its third summer in 2006. We have established a reputation for excellence, in providing high quality theatre experiences and advanced technique workshops for young theatre artists. Over four weeks, students participate in Scene Study, Mime Technique, Viewpoints, Voice Technique, Audition/Monologue coaching, Movement, Stage Combat, and more. Our collaboration with TheatreWorks means we get to see their summer production, tour their facilities, and benefit from visits with their staff and actors. Daily afternoon rehearsals culminate in at least one full-length production; this year, depending on enrollment, there might be two plays. Students also perform in a Scene Showcase for invited guests from the theatre community.
