The Business of Art is Art

BootStrap Foundation's mission is to help artists bootstrap their way to visibility to create their own followings. We focus on professional productions of original plays by San Francisco Bay Area playwrights. We work with playwrights, offering both dramaturgical and production support to bring previously unproduced scripts to fruition. We are currently collaborating with The Pear Avenue Theatre in Mountain View, California to co-produce new works.
For young actors, we offer the Advanced Acting Academy. This professional-level theatre training program is under the direction of Dr. Jeanie K. Forte, veteran acting coach and director in the Bay Area.
Founded in 1998, BootStrap Foundation is an affiliate of Council for the Arts Palo Alto Midpeninsula Area (CAPA) which grants us our 501(c)3 non-profit status.
